With all the hurricanes that have been attempting to wipe-out the Southern states...my work has stayed pretty busy. Insurance is NOT the industry to be caught in when there is a natural disaster!!! But, I look at it as job security. I actually enjoy reviewing the claims that float across my desk. I looked at one the other day where a guy had to have both of his vehicles towed from a gas station to his home...he had taken them to fill both of their tanks...turns out it was mud and water coming out of the gas nozzle!!! I cannot even begin to imagine how pissed I would be if that happened to me!!!!
Along with reviewing claims, I have also become a part-time trainer. When I started working for this company, I started in the billing department...which makes me the local billing expert in the department I work in now. So far, I have had to teach 2 classes on billing...and I have 2 more coming up in the near future. You would have laughed watching me prepare for them! I felt like I was in college again preparing for my final presentation! But, I got a lot of compliments...and a few people suggested I go into teaching (obviously these are people that do NOT know me well--ha ha ha!).
Ronnie's job is keeping him pretty busy. Apparently, being the only welder in a fabrication shop is a big deal! I don't know. He comes home everyday muttering stuff about mig-welding and tig-welding and blah, blah, blah! I don't do manual labor...I don't know...but it makes him happy! I am loving his new job because he now comes home in a good mood...YEAH!!!!!
Mom and Dad are finally getting settled into a house...YEAH!!! They bought a ho
use in the quaint little town of Grant, AL. It is nestled up on a mountain on 10-acres of land...and it is absolutely gorgeous!! They are about 5 minutes away from Lake Guntersville, and 35 minutes outside of Huntsville. And now Ronnie and I are seriously considering moving in that direction. The area is just so peaceful and beautiful...ahhhhh. Maybe one day! For now, we are just happy to have them 2 1/2 hours away, rather than 15!!! Cole and I went up to Nebraska with Mom a few weekends ago to help her get the dogs...that place is SO ugly and SO dry and SO...just...yuck! I'm glad I NEVER have to go there AGAIN!!

He is getting pretty brave when it comes to walking. He will let go of things for a second and then quickly grab back on. And the other day, he and I were sitting on the bed...and out of no where he just stood up and sat back down!!!!
