I listened to Rick & Bubba (radio show)this morning re-play their 9/11 stuff…with tears streaming down my face. I remember that day right down to the very details of what I was wearing!
I was in school at GA Southern University at that time…I remember sitting in the classroom waiting for our professor to show up…he walked in with tears streaming down his face and announced the attack and told us to all go home and call our families.
I remember being scared to death because my Dad was supposed to be at the Pentagon that day in a meeting…he had gotten a phone call about an hour before he was to go to the airport that they had re-scheduled the meeting for 2 weeks later.
When he did go to the Pentagon (2 months later), the person he was to have had the meeting with took him to show him the room they had scheduled for the meeting…it was where the nose of the plane came to rest.
As I sit here now and think about that day, and then I look at what is going on now...I can't imagine how we have gotten to this place. I can't imagine how anyone can support what is happening in the White House. I can't imagine people voluntarily giving up the freedoms our family members have VOLUNTARILY given their lives to protect. I simply cannot understand it.
We now have a government that wants to tell us how to raise our children...wants to take away our right to protect ourselves...wants to tax us for being independent...wants to dictate who we put in charge of our health...wants to guilt us into removing God from our public lives...wants us to APOLOGIZE FOR BEING ATTACKED!!
I simply cannot understand it............
